Urbanised: the final piece of the design trilogy
Gary Hustwit (Helvetica, Objectified) returns with the final documentary in his design film trilogy. Urbanised focuses on the design of cities, and features some of the world's foremost architects, planners, policymakers, and thinkers, including extraordinary citizens who have changed their cities. Who is allowed to shape our cities, and how do they do it? And how does the design of our cities affect our lives? Animal Collective's ODDSAC available now
ODDSAC is a feature film collaboration between the band Animal Collective and filmmaker Danny Perez, a dense and surreal layering of audio and visual elements that eschews conventional narrative to create a visceral viewing experience. ODDSAC represents a new synthesis of music and film, a "visual album" whose songs will not be released in any other form. It features an original score with new songs from the band and complex digital manipulation by Perez. In conjunction with The Andy Warhol Museum, Plexifilm announces the release of 13 Most Beautiful... Songs for Andy Warhol's Screen Tests, featuring 13 of Warhol's classic silent film portraits. Subjects include Nico, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick, Dennis Hopper, and more. Shot between 1964 and 1966 at Warhol's Factory studio in New York City, the Screen Tests are presented with newly commissioned soundtracks performed by Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips.
